Hi, I’m Lynette from Lynette Matthews Photography. I’ve been photographing weddings for over 10 years and I still get excited every single time I pick up my camera. I absolutely love what I do and feel incredibly lucky to call this my job.
I usually attract couples who are super chilled, happy to go with the flow, and up for a good giggle. They trust me to take the lead when needed and want their day captured naturally, no awkward posing, just lots of laughs and real moments.
You’re not just hiring a photographer for one day, you’re gaining someone who genuinely cares about your wedding as much as you do. I’m there from the moment you book me (and I don’t disappear once the gallery is delivered either!). I take the time to get to know you, listen to your plans, and make sure you feel completely looked after throughout your whole wedding journey.
My business turns 11 in November 2026, which honestly blows my mind. It all started by photographing a friend’s wedding and somehow that turned into this amazing adventure I’m still on today.
What’s not to love about working in the wedding industry?! I get to meet wonderful people, visit stunning places and capture one of the happiest days of a couple’s lives, filled with love, lots of laughter, and happy tears. Bonus points if there are dogs (or any animals) involved.
I’m really looking forward to the Wedding Night Market, being surrounded by like-minded creatives, catching up with supplier friends and exhibiting at Scale again because it’s such an iconic venue. But most of all, I can’t wait to meet couples, have a good chat, and hear all about their wedding plans.
Liverpool has so many incredible venues. If I had to pick one special Liverpool wedding venue, it would be Sefton Park Palm House mainly cause I love being outdoors and gives the sense of the outdoors in. It’s light-filled and gives such a relaxed yet magical/unique backdrop for a wedding day.
